sheathing requirements

The International Remodeling Code (IRC) states, “Asphalt shingles shall be fastened to solidly sheathed decks.” This information can be found in Chapter R905.2.1. To achieve this goal, North Lake Contracting often installs an additional layer of 7’16” Oriented Strand Board (OSB) plywood.
